Artlings is a weekly art workshop designed to introduce children to big art ideas in fun experimental ways!

We have a play based approach to learning with a focus on art making processes. Through the exploration of different methods and materials we navigate a range of themes, and grow our art making vocabulary and capabilities. We have designed a loose curriculum for each term and explore each topic via a range of different perspectives.

 â€‹

Suitable for Yr1 – Yr6 children.

We will experiment and play with a range of mediums for example; drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and printmaking. Drawing and mark-making is key, while our main focus is on process based art-making. This means that we encourage the following;  discovering, thinking, making new connections, noticing details, zooming-out, problem solving all the while being inventive and courageous! The weekly are workshops are a great way for children to grow their own creative expression whilst developing their sense of self.
